History Of Francoy's Resort
The John & Katie Cottage: This cottage has a quaint working fireplace, a side deck with 2
Amish-made Adirondack Chairs, (2) 10x12 bedrooms with queen beds. It was built on the 1891
site of John & Kate Loveridge’s boat house. Lovely views. The kitchen is on the Lake Side. All
Knotty Pine. Flat screen TV. Sixteen (16) steps to the dock and Lake. Boat is in the front. Closest
to parking. Five (5) people maximum. Rates: Peak Season $1,075(1) a week and Off Peak Season
$975(2) a week. Pet fee $25.00.
The Sunrise Cottage: This brick duplex cottage was built about 1953 with large windows and a
panoramic view of Big Fish Lake on the Site of the original 1901 Sunrise Cottage. Two (2)
bedrooms, one (1) bath with shower, Knotty Pine, central gas heat and air conditioning plus a
working fireplace. The Cottage has 2 queen size beds plus sofa bed (regular double) and a Flat
Screen TV. It looks Northwest across the Lake. Your Boat is in front. Five (5) people (including
children) maximum. Charcoal Grill outside. Small 8-foot deck. Fifteen (15) steps to the Lake and
your dock. Rates: Peak Season $1,075(1) a week and Off Peak Season $975(2) a week. Pet fee
The Sunset Cottage: Similar to the Sunrise Cottage, this unit has a central furnace and air
conditioning, 2 bedrooms (queen size beds) pull out sofa (regular size), 1 bath with shower,
Knotty Pine interior, working fireplace. Boat in from. Five (5) people maximum. Fifteen (15) steps
to the Lake. Charcoal Grill outside. Five (5) people maximum. Rates: Peak Season $1,075(1) a
week and Off Peak Season $975(2) a week. Pet fee $25.00.
The Flander's Cottage: This quaint dark-red cottage may be the oldest. It has two bedrooms up,
both with double beds, plus a couch with a pull-out (regular size) in the living room, and a small
deck with a charcoal grill and 2 Amish-made Adirondack chairs. Closest to the water faces south.
This is the favorite cottage of older returning guests. It’s above the larger docks and has the
fewest steps to the lake. Flat screen TV. Simple furnishings. Lots of new screened windows.
Great Lake view. Six (6) people maximum. Rates: Peak Season $1,075(1) a week and Off Peak
Season $975(2) a week. Pet fee $25.00.
The Du Drop Inn Cottage: This 1920s cottage has two bedrooms upstairs with twin beds in
each room. A studio couch (bed regular size) non-working fireplace. Flat screen TV. New shower.
Dark mellow Knotty Pine. Wall heater. Faces Southwest with wonderful long lake views. Charcoal
Grill, and Picnic Table. Boat in front. Fifteen (15) steps to the lake. Six (6) people maximum.
Rates: Peak Season $1,075(1) a week and Off Peak Season $975(2) a week. No Pets Allowed
The Hotel Apartment: The first floor of the quaint Loveridge Hotel (1900) has been remodeled into a large carpeted apartment with 2 new full baths (tub and shower), huge new kitchen and living room. The upstairs will remain unoccupied. The Hotel is located 100 feet off the Lake (between the Lake Cottages and the RV Park) and includes: dishwasher, gas range, refrigerator, washer and dryer. One (1) double, (1) queen sized beds and couches that open into double beds. Small 2nd story back porch with chairs and a Lake view. New floors, carpets, windows, wall lights, etc. were installed in 2014. This unit has central heat and air conditioning. One (1)  boat on a dock 125 feet away. Rates: Peak Season $1,275(1) a week and Off Peak Season $1,175(2) a week. No Pets Allowed.
RV Park: The small RV Park usually is full of Season Guests except for 1 full hookup site we
keep for weekend and weekly guests by advance reservation. There is a White Gazebo on the
lawn with a table and chairs. Also, a Screen Room down on the lake out in front of the RV area.
Fish from any of our Docks. Rates: $1,850 a season
Watercraft(s): We offer 2 canoes in place of 12-14 foot aluminum rowboats with the Cottages if desired. Our boats are suitable for 2-15 HP outboards or trolling motors which some guests bring along. Bring your own boat if you prefer. Please bring your Life Jackets, Personal Flotation Device (PFD) cushions. If you have none, borrow ours. Everyone in your boat needs a life jacket or PFD. Pat's Pontoon Services, LLC (269) 273-2800. We do not Rent Boats. Bait is available in Marcellus (4 miles).
Francoy's Resort opens April 29, 2017 and closes October 2, 2017.

Owners Don and Pam France, would like to welcome you to Francoy's Resort. Our five cottages are on 562 feet of Big Fish Lake frontage interspersed with 3 Park Model RV'S. Big Fish Lake has a sandy shoreline, is over 400 acres, connects to other lakes and offers great fishing.
Each 2 bedroom cottage is remodeled, has a row boat out front, a picnic table, a park-style charcoal grill, gas range, refrigerator and microwave. Two cottages (Sunrise and Sunset) are air conditioned (seldom needed). Four (excluding Flanders Inn) have fireplaces and quaint knotty pine interiors. Each cottage sits on our sunny bluff about 15 steps up from the Lake. All the cottages are very clean. All cottage bathrooms include showers. The cottages are backed up by a large stand-by generator for Seasonal power outages. We are at the South end of (private) Fish Lake Drive (blacktop) on the East side of the Lake and 19 miles South of Paw Paw and 1-94. Every cottage has an area near the Lake for a Campfire. You can swim at your own risk but there is no Lifeguard. You must watch your children
Guests can reserve a cottage by first calling or e-mailing for dates available and then sending a deposit to reserve your week. Bring what you need, your life preservers/cushions (or borrow ours) your towels, pillows, sheets, blankets, food plus fishing tackle. Check for special Fall rates after Labor Day and enjoy great Autumn Fishing.
All Cottages have Flat Screen TV's, showers, docks,  Park (charcoal) Grills outside, Microwaves, pots, pans, toaster, dishes, mugs, glasses, tableware, and outside lights.  Several have couches with pull out double beds.   All are very clean when guests arrive.  Linda Bruington sees to that carefully.
